Mission Accomplished

The men and women of the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier group are now in American waters after completeing their tour that included a relief mission in the Indian Ocean following the Dec. 26th 2005 tsunami.

The aircraft have landed safely in San Diego as have some of the group’s Guided Missle Cruisers. The Lincoln will be making a quick stop there and then head up here to her home port of Everett.

When they arrive, I’ll try to remember to link to the local coverage.

Hi sorry to post something completely off topic but I’m hoping for your help. I received a letter to me smuggled out of the Central Prison in Sana’a Yemen from a pro-democracy, Yemeni editor imprisoned and regularly beaten.

Please take a look and consider linking the petition for the poor guy’s sake not mine, for the continuing spread of democracy throughout the ME, and for the sake of the other Yemeni journalists who need our help.

    Thanks,
    Jane
