Gun of the Blue Stripe Tent (Position 20, I think)
Note the duct tape on the butt to fine-tune the cheekweld. A serious shooter’s rifle. Any info appreciated.

Ooh, baby, now that’s a rifle! If you’re the lucky owner, please tell us all the details. Who makes that stock?

Some cardboard short-range sight-in targets are visible at upper left. At upper right, they’re starting to get ready to set off the anvil.
The professional-looking fellows at this position were very friendly and noticed my interest in the middle rifle in this pic. It wears a Knoxx SpecOps recoil-reducing stock. There was an article published in The Varmint Hunter magazine just prior to Boomershoot describing a version of the Knoxx stock on a Howa 1500 in .223, resulting in the shooter being able to see bullet strikes. Useful for varmints and boomers alike! IIRC the rifle shown was a Remington 700 action, but I don’t remember the caliber.

Peeking out beyond the heads of these fellows, at the far left-hand end of the firing line, lurk the full-auto guys and their toys. More about them later.

I finally developed my 19 rolls of film from the trip. Cost to burn ’em directly to CD at Target: $9.99 per roll. At Costco: $2.99 per roll. I went with Costco. Of course, next year I’ll just bring a digital camera instead.
I’ll get into the details of my Boomershoot Odyssey later, because I know what you really want to see is the guns:
LOTS and LOTS of photos coming up…. All photos taken with a fifteen-year-old Pentax IQZoom WR-90 and ASA 400 Fujifilm from Wallyworld.
UPDATE: okay, I seem to be exceeding bandwidth left and right. I’ll try uploading the pics to flickr and post them from there, we’ll see if that works.
