Rule #3 Violator Punished

I’m both glad he committed the violation and angry that his stupidity will become a statistic to be used against law abiding and rule following gun owners.

A teenager ended up with a gunshot wound and a trip to juvenile jail after he allegedly tried to rob a woman Thursday night on the Hilltop, the Tacoma Police Department reported.

Witnesses called Tacoma police just before 9 p.m. Thursday and reported seeing a young man limping in the 2000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way, heading toward St. Joseph Medical Center.

At the hospital, the 17-year-old boy claimed he was shot in a driveby shooting, police reported.

Officers investigated further and found a woman who said the male had tried to rob her in the 2000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way.

The boy grabbed a handgun from his waistband and it accidentally went off. He was shot in the leg, police reported.

After being treated for the self-inflicted gunshot wound, the boy was booked into Remann Hall juvenile jail on suspicion of robbery.

Maybe next time (and there WILL be a next time) he should keep the pistol on a short lanyard so that if he again violates Rule #3 he’ll be more likely to hit himself in the chest.

Double the punishment

Uncle links to a story about how the CEO of the Richmond Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, in Virginia. left her dog in in a hot car for four hours without leaving proper ventilation, and killed the 16yr old blind, deaf and dependent animal.

Double the normal punishment for cruelty to animals and and stuff it down her throat. Ban her from ever owning another animal or being a member of an organization whose focus is on animals.

Or alternately, wrap a plastic bag over her head, dress her in spandex and sweaters and lock her in a green house until she suffers the fate of “Louie”.

No matter the backstory, there is no such thing as “accidentally” locking an animal in a car.

And yet they’re still complaining

Throughout the health care debate, folks on the side opposing Obamacare have been called liars, racists, bigots Nazis and terrorists.

US Rep. Wally Herger was at a Town Hall meeting with his constituents when one Bert Stead got his turn on the mic and said that as far as he was concerned, he was a “proud right-wing terrorist”.

You’d figure that the leftosphere would agree with the guy and congratulate him on accepting their label.

You’d be wrong.

Because Rep. Herger called Mr. Stead “a great American” shortly thereafter, Rep. Herger should be censured by the House, according to Aravosis, and is “fanning the flames of politically motivated violence” according to the folks at HuffPo.

Just what does it take to make these people happy?

I mean, other than us all just dying off?

Mark it down

Make sure you place a special mark on yesterday on your calendar.

Why, you might ask?

Because Howard Dean did two things that he has probably never done before:

He told the truth about the Democratic establishment, and didn’t flash his “TV Smile” that always succeeds in creeping me out.

The next time you see Dean on the television, keep an eye on him whenever someone else is talking, and you’ll see him flash and hold the creepiest smile you have probably seen in a long time. It’s not “creepy” in the sense that you want to run away screaming. It is more along the lines of, you just know that he has stood in front of a mirror for hours practicing it and thinks it looks good.

And that is what shows you that he is crazy.

My favorite, as well as Drang’s, is currently in the lead.

As most of you know, Michelle Malkin spent some time working in the Seattle media world before going national, and Miller is wondering, now that Mrs. Malkin’s book has spent a month atop the NYT Best Seller list, which of the current members of the Seattle Times editorial board should be the one who reviews her book?

It’s mostly for locals, but if want to spend some time in Wiki, I’m sure you’ll be able to find the moonbattiest of them all.

Working Late, but Happy

I’m workin’ here in the office, listening to some lucky bastards doing target practice in the hills of Camp Parks. They’re shootin’ steel — I heard the boom boom clang as I pulled in to the parking lot after dinner, and I can still hear it through my window if I sit quietly. My neighbors the ATF folks are workin’ late too, three stories above me, judging from the lights.

Still, I’m happy because today I finally got fed up with waiting to get My Favorite Boomershoot Photo framed. Instead, I tacked it up with clear thumbtacks, and that worked pretty well. Excuse the horrid cellphone image quality of the Wall O’ Freedom and Wall O’ Freedom from my Desk pix below.
