Now that jobs and budgets are tight

They begin to pull the noose closed

Do you believe in the American dream — the idea that in this country, hardworking people of every race, color and creed can get ahead on their own merits? If so, that belief may soon bar you from getting a license to teach in Minnesota public schools — at least if you plan to get your teaching degree at the University of Minnesota’s Twin Cities campus.

In a report compiled last summer, the Race, Culture, Class and Gender Task Group at the U’s College of Education and Human Development recommended that aspiring teachers there must repudiate the notion of “the American Dream” in order to obtain the recommendation for licensure required by the Minnesota Board of Teaching. Instead, teacher candidates must embrace — and be prepared to teach our state’s kids — the task force’s own vision of America as an oppressive hellhole: racist, sexist and homophobic.

For all you hoping to one day see you little Johnny or Suzie in their school’s Thanksgiving play, here is the story line the script will follow.

You had the stomach to watch that all the way through, right?

If not, you’ll need to man up soon or you won’t be ready for what is coming in Obama’s America.

The folks who made the above video don’t even have the cojones to make the guns in the shape of guns.

It isn’t just that he wants to give Khalid Sheik Mohammad and his pals a stage in Manhattan, Attorney General Holder and President Obama want to give the media a reason to bag on proponents of the war during the 2010, and the 2012 election cycles.

If KSM, his crew AND his attorneys are talking about, it gives the MSM a reason to talk about it.

If, like with the Abu Grabass story, the MSM opens their news programs with whatever BS they consider the “revelations” of the day, and put it on the front page of their newspapers and news mags for months on end, people will either revolt, like they did in India, tune out completely, or believe it.

Either way, it puts those who don’t want to become Dhimmi on the defensive.

Solar cells made from cheap nanocrystal-based inks have the potential to be as efficient as the conventional inorganic cells currently used in solar panels, but can be printed less expensively. Solexant, a company in San Jose, CA, is currently manufacturing solar cells to test the technology. In order to compete with other thin-film solar companies, Solexant is banking on simpler, cheaper printing processes and materials, as well as lower initial capital costs to build its plants. The company expects to sell modules for $1 per watt, with efficiencies above 10 percent.

That is energy independence. If each home, and most businesses, could power themselves, think of the capacity made on the grid.

Battery tech next, please.

No surprize

I hesitated on posting about the hacked emails because it was Friday and it all sounded too good to be true.

Thankfully, it wasn’t.

Also thankfully, we had some very important things confirmed.

Astonishingly, what appears, at least at first blush, to have emerged is that (a) the scientists have been manipulating the raw temperature figures to show a relentlessly rising global warming trend; (b) they have consistently refused outsiders access to the raw data; (c) the scientists have been trying to avoid freedom of information requests; and (d) they have been discussing ways to prevent papers by dissenting scientists being published in learned journals.

In other words, these High Priests of the Global Warming Death Cult were doing exactly everything skeptics claimed they were.

For the most part, the leftosphere has ignored this story. Even with the NYT and WaPo writing full length articles about it, they have boycotted the issue even more thoroughly than they did the story about reducing breast cancer screenings.

It must hurt emotionally to have your fear-filled pseudo-religion fall to pieces around your head. This is on the scale of finding Robert Welch’s diary and reading where he wrote “Marx was a genius!”

Don’t go feeling sorry for them though. They deserve to have their noses rubbed in this manure and be mocked for their lack of inquisitve nature for the next decade or so.

Every home a daycare?

It sure seems as though the poor folks in the UK are being told to act as though each of their homes may soon be considered a licensed child care facility.

Health and safety inspectors are to be given unprecedented access to family homes to ensure that parents are protecting their children from household accidents.

New guidance drawn up at the request of the Department of Health urges councils and other public sector bodies to “collect data” on properties where children are thought to be at “greatest risk of unintentional injury”.

Council staff will then be tasked with overseeing the installation of safety devices in homes, including smoke alarms, stair gates, hot water temperature restrictors, oven guards and window and door locks.

And since you’re not allowed to complete your own home repairs over there, this is going to cost you. And you should have no doubt that “the poor” will have their new mandatory equipment subsidized.

A few weeks back, America beat the UK to harassing mothers who watch over each others children.

The UK just upped the ante.

They are all scum. I am not prepared (for legal reasons) to say in public what I really want to see done to them but it would be Chinese in it’s ingenuity and Afghan in it’s brutality.

Nick made that statement earlier this year about the Labor dweebies and their machinations being exposed (via hacked emails, oddly enough).

I wish to borrow his idea and transfer it onto the heads of our own House of Lords for the aftermath of their vote on the future of health care in America.

I’d say that I would also apply it to the U.S. House of Representatives, but if his idea is Chinese in it’s ingenuity, then doing it to 435 times would probably take a bit longer than I’m willing to spend offing the cunts.

500 rounds of 9mm is cheaper, faster and also allows for a few entertainment kneecappings.

Things I think about while sitting in traffic: UPDATED X3

I was on the interstate making my way to a doctor’s appointment while listening to the album Led Zeppelin IV.

Not being a fan of Das Mightee Zepp, I had not listened to the album as a whole prior to yesterday. I do have to admit that it is a damn fine piece of work.

However, I’m not one to be satisfied with leaving works of music art well enough alone. I like to bend them around a bit.

In this instance, I was thinking about a 21st Century “supergroup” covering the entire album. Remaking it from the opening note to final amplifier echo. Let us not worry about the “Why”, but about the “Who” and the “How”.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to pick four musicians alive and playing today.

All must be under 45 years of age (aka: Not much older than Zep itself).

None of them have can have produced music together before.

Most importantly, they must be sufficiently skilled to play all the tracks note for note in both a studio setting and live.

They will know that this project is sanctioned by the three surviving members of Led Zeppelin and must understand that failure will win them eternal disdain from the world of music.

I will post my two least controversial choices tomorrow, and the two most controversial ones on Sunday.
