Along the lines of the one that David wrote about. This one is not as stealthy, but 1/2 the price.
Found at CountyComm. There is a lot of good stuff there.

Great satire of all of the idiots on YouTube.
As RingoPornostar writes in the description, it is “the best most concealable everyday kit ever constructed ya brother whhooo yeahhh yeehaaaaa ya brother
I smash it everytime!”
What is your favorite part?
Example One: John F. Kennedy, gunned down by a committed Marxist who agitated for “Fair Play for Cuba” (that is, Castro’s gulag), who once applied for Soviet citizenship.
Tell me: Was Lee Harvey Oswald listening to rightwing chatter as he wrote applications to the Soviet Union for defector status? Was he being steeped in rightwing cant as he attended pro-Castro demonstrations?
Example Two: Robert F. Kennedy, gunned down by committed Palestinian extremist Sirhan Sirhan — the left likes to pretend this guy isn’t one of their own (same thing with Oswald, actually — thus all the conspiracy theories claiming the CIA killed him), but as far as I can tell the Palestinian cause has always been associated with the left. Vanessa Redgrave, all the fashionably-left celebrities.
Aaand is any of this, any at all, in your children’s textbooks? Of course not. From Ace of Spades.
As you’ll remember if you read last week’s post about where I would be spending this last Saturday morning, I was hanging with Caleb of GunNutsMedia at the Norpoint Indoor Range in Arlington, WA. I finally got to see RNS regular, Mollbot, for the first time in too long and meet some of the typical members of the shooting public (aka: Nice Folks).
When I used the word “mission” I had no idea just how serious a mission it was. I had in mind something along the lines of signing up new members or passing out literature. But this was something more, and something you need to get on the stick with if you’re a voter in the great state of Washington.
Caleb is working with the National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action (aka: NRA-ILA) as a Campaign Field Rep. This last weekend Caleb’s task was to recruit volunteers to help the NRA-ILA defeat those anti-gun rights bigots we’re swamped with in this state.
You need to get with Caleb and give him a hand with this. He needs people to help pass out literature, make phone calls, ring doorbells and the other footwork one guy would need help doing to get pro-gun rights folks aware of what is at stake if we send these same losers back to D.C. and Olympia because we didn’t get out the vote.
Help Caleb and the good folks at the NRA-ILA make sure folks don’t vote with their butts by sitting on them on election day. Ignore the sassy message and contact Caleb via his email addy here.
These signs are available to volunteers. You now you want one. Now know what you need to do to get one.
This November, Washington voters will get to thumbs up/down Initiative 1098. This initiative would institute an income tax of 5% on incomes over $200,000 on single filers and $400,000 on couples and 9% on incomes over $500,000 on single filers and $1,000,000 on couples.
It would waste that money by stuffing it into black holes known as “education” and “health care”.
The “progressives” in the state are pushing by telling folks it will reduce their property taxes by 20% and give a $4800 B&O tax credit to small businesses. While those items ARE written into the initiative, there is no provision to stop the legislature from lowering the income ceilings to include a higher percentage of taxpayers. Nor is there anything in the initiative to stop the legislature from ditching the property tax cut and B&O tax credit. It also does nothing to rid us of the nearly 10% Sales Tax.
I comfortably predict that within the next five sessions taxpayers will see those income limits be lowered by at least half.
And because people have noticed these things, they now have their own Initiative 1098 Calculator to show you “how much you’ll save” if you are dumb enough to fall for their “Tax the Rich” scheme and vote for it.
I ran my numbers through it and The Wife and I will save a whole $104.72 per year!
But, being one who can think into the foreseeable future I realize that when I graduate with my BSc and she gets her scheduled raises, we’ll be making enough money to live a little more comfortably.
Just in time to qualify for the newly lowered ceiling on the 5% income tax!
This is a definite “Hell NO” vote in this household.
If you want a real tax calculator, head over to the Independent Institute’s MyGovCost.Org site and scare yourself. Those with weak bladders and/or bowels will want to slip on some Depends first.
This one from Taio Cruz’s been rockin’ our casa in heavy rotation today. The model is Nadya Neomnyashaya. Catwalks and models don’t usually impress me, but I could watch her hips walk down a boardwalk all day.
I hadn’t realized it until the very cool Star Wars: Clone Wars series prompted me to watch Revenge of the Sith one more time, but at the end of the movie, when Leia is shown in the hands of her adoptive parents on Alderaan, and when Obi-Wan Kenobi delivers Luke to his Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru on Tatooine, the music during those respective scenes is two of the Star Wars themes we’ve known since childhood — and it occurred to me that those familiar strains may have been the theme music for Leia and Luke all along.
Maybe everybody else in the galaxy already knew this? Check it out below starting at 1:48 for Leia and 2:19 for Luke.
New “trash” comics have taken over in Mexico, as discussed in this issue of The Imp (the cover gives you an idea of these comics’ subject matter). While arguably not as disturbing as certain Jap
anese manga, these comics still give an indication of a fairly unhealthy civic society (as if the drug murder epidemic wasn’t indication enough). This kinda dovetails with my notion that Mexico’s collapsing because the good Mexicans fled here, leaving the nacos behind to take over.
If you are on the street in Mexico City somewhere in your field of vision is at least one of these comics. They are racked at every newspaper stand, spread-eagled atop toilet tank lids, and peeking out of passersby’s pockets….It is tempting to name them after the type of guy who reads them. This guy is generally called a naco. Naco is a slur best translated as white trash mixed with a little bit of ni**er. It is not to be confused with mestizo. …If you have both Indian and European blood you are mestizo. You are “mixed.†…If you are mestizo you are probably poor and you are not alone. People like you make up 70 to 80 percent of the Mexican population. The mestizo is the quintessential Mexican, and being mestizo is something to be proud of. But a naco is not supposed to have pride. A naco is a new kind of mestizo, an urban mestizo who has no hope, no taste, and most important, no class. …The naco is imagined to be ugly, uneducated, and addicted to sniffing flammable solvents. He is supposed to rob you, rape your wife, and slit your throat just for hyena laughs. You will know him by his death metal tee shirt and his soccer rocker haircut. You will recognize him immediately because he is an Americanized Mexican, a hybrid both countries can hate equally.
…The lurking naco is the reason every middle-class home in Mexico City bristles with barbed wire and glass spikes. Nobody trusts the naco. If you are a naco, you are chingada. You are fucked. And because you’re already fucked, you figure, Fuck it. Fuck everybody. Fuck everything. Apparently, this is the naco philosophy …[and]… the philosophy behind these comics.
Don’t bother to read the whole thing, but skimming it’s well worth your time, if only for the wide variety of basura comics covers therein. Bolded emphasis in the quote above is mine.
…because even if you have a rock-solid, slam-dunk winning case, fully documented, with decisions in your favor from Federal circuit courts, if you walk into court without an attorney and the other side has an attorney, you will get steamrolled ninety-nine times out of a hundred.
Chris and Mel temporarily lost their kids this way.
It sounds as though they also got a shovel-full of what we in the legal community call “hometowning” — the opposing counsel and the small-town judge had some history together — but even absent that, I’d not have bet on a positive outcome.
Judges want nothing more than to get cases off their desks, even when it’s not Friday afternoon before a long weekend. Given the chance to punt an international child-custody case back to Canada, odds were the judge was gonna do it absent some vigorous argument by counsel for Chris and Mel.
And here’s the thing — it’s gotta be counsel making the argument, not you. No matter how effective you may think you are as an advocate for your cause, trust me — judges generally won’t believe a tenth of what you say, because you’re a civilian. They will believe about half of what comes out of my mouth, but only because I’ve got a law license and they think they can trust the “integrity of the bar” and other such crap notions.
I’ve done this sort of thing myself when my company’s been sued in small-claims court by consumers — who in some cases could have won if they knew their way around a courtroom, but they didn’t, so I crushed them — and I’m not even a trial lawyer.
Read the whole thing. They need temporary lodging while Mel goes to court in Canada (with a lawyer this time) to get the kids back, so if you’re in Washington State near the Canadian border you might be able to help them out….
Rock out with your special someone to this remix in your own special way, folks. Enjoy.
