This might be a little picky, but the US Flag patch on the bottom of a gun case? Where it has to sit on the ground?
Also, doesn’t taking down that AR then require some refitting to get it back into action? I COULD see carrying an underfolder AK that way, or if you’re an AR purist, maybe one of the new piston-ARs than can fold closed and then fire immediately.
OTOH, I have a Kel-Tec .40 S&W carbine which folds to 16.25″, and will fit in a standard messenger bag. Sure, I can’t fight at 300 meters with it like I could with an AR, but I can do plenty of work at 100 and under.
Since this is an urban thing, these over-the-shoulder bags, urban long guns should go into them.
