Joe Huffman on BB&Guns Radio

…in about an hour from now.

I’ll be listening. The experience of sitting in my office doing mundane corporate legal work (forming a LLC in Delaware, working on closing a multimillion-dollar real estate transaction in Virginia, fixing a company’s BBB rating, and that’s just today) while listening to the heroically subversive Mr. Boomershoot will be delightfully surreal.

If we’re lucky, the talk will veer off into sex. I’m sure with Breda the eminently sexy librarian as inspiration Dr. Joe could come up with all sorts of interesting discussions, whether related to prosthetics or not. 🙂

Listen here.

ATF Shotgun Import Study

Here it is, the much-hyped ATF “ruling.” Haven’t read it yet. Will do so in a bit.

If This Happens We’re Dropping Cable TV

As the only reason we still have it is the wife’s NFL addiction. Which this would satisfy.

In other news, we got an Apple TV box for Xmas and it rocks. Why listen to the radio when you can use your iPhone as a remote control for streaming YouTube or iPod songs/videos etc. over your TV? For its limited abilities, it does them very well.

Air Guns Not Protected by 2nd Amendment

Court decision here.

I dunno, I think there’s some good arguments to be made the other direction, but it seems as though this defendant may not have made them or not made them in quite the right way.

He did include an argument about the Lewis & Clark air gun, but the judge was dismissive on that point.

Light Bulb Math

Laptop and a Rifle compares LED bulbs with CFLs.

I replaced all our incandescents with 100W CFLs a couple years ago and our power bill dropped precipitously. I leave several running constantly and the cost is so small I dont think about it.

Keeping Poor in Perspective

Remember, a lot of the “poor” in this country are actually people who have just entered the job market, and even those “poor” people are pretty well off (& not living in abject poverty).

Also, a lot of being poor has less to do with income, and more to do with patience.

Shudder

I noticed throughout this week so far that the people who were mocking Michelle Bachmann’s Tea Party Caucus response to the Obama SOTU had nothing but praise for the speech Alan Grayson wanted to hear (aka: give himself in response but no one would give him the air time).

That link is definietly NC-17. Because you’ll be having sailors tell you to watch your language.

There But For The Grace of Great Cthulhu

View from the Prestige Lounge

This 12,000-square-foot giant room next to the exclusive Prestige concierge check-in area was a great space to relax outside of our suite but away from the teeming masses at SHOT Show. This was the view from some exquisitely overstuffed chairs at a marble table. The free drinks and sample delicacies from the various resort restaurants didn’t hurt either.
