RNS Quote of the Day: 09/12/13

Ummm, no.

Do you want law enforcement people that will say I will do this because I’m told to do it, even if I know it’s wrong?

Tim Howard, Sheriff of Erie County, N.Y.

Asked as a rhetorical question during this NPR story I found linked in this post at VFNCI

If you wander the comments at the NPR link you will find dozens of leftists insisting that all laws are constitutional and must be fully enforced until the courts say otherwise.

For some reason, I distinctly remember them believing exactly the opposite when it came to laws criminalizing gay marriage, recreational marijuana use and banning homeless people from sleeping on the street?

That is what I’ve been seeing

When I either speak with or read an Obamabot post, this is close to the message I get. Particularly at MSNBC. Damn, those people want him to kill something.

Too bad this isn’t really the case and they were willing to back up their “beliefs” with their own funds.

It is sad how we say “We Will Never Forget” and then within a decade many of us do exactly that. Enough of us to elect someone as dimwitted as the current occupant off the oval office, anyway.

While one political party wants to forget, the powerbrokers of the other one want to strip away our civil rights and tell us that an act such as this will “never happen again” so long as we don’t complain about what they’re doing.

And because a liberty-minded individual can’t catch a break, our dimwit gets to one-up the civil rights violators in the party opposed to him because he has a press corp that deifies him.

But the cherry on top of it all is that those who support our dimwit, but oppose the civil rights violators of the other party not only get to blame me and those whose political ideas are like mine for the civil rights violations, partly because I oppose the dimwit’s other domestic policies and partly because I voted for a guy 13 years ago, but also get to call me an intolerant bigot because I like my individual liberty and have no desire to let those whom I am not supposed to forget committed an act of terrorism both 12 years ago and last year on this day tell me to kneel.

And if that last exceptionally strained sentence was not enough to show you how pissed off I am, then I don’t know what to tell you, man.

I couldn’t find one

Using the US Media and US flag in the example.

But I’m sure you get the idea.

I’m sure it is difficult to forget

But if you’re in Colorado, there is a special election today.

That the Democrats seem to be attempting to win by using “any means necessary”.

Especially if it means cheating.

College-age people are showing up in Colorado to drop off at to ten ballots at a time in the hotly contested Colorado recall elections which may determine the near-term future of the gun control movement across the United States. Anti-gun activists from out-of-state are outspending the local grassroots recall effort by 6-to-1, and yet still apparently feel the need to illegally tamper with signs and bring in large numbers of pre-completed ballots in what is supposed to be an in-person-only recall.

Don’t let a potential voter sit back and think the recall will pass without their getting off the couch. Get them up and voting.

“Embezzeler” is considered a “Job Created” in Chicago

And it appears that President Obama has created at least 16 of these jobs during his time in office

The U.S. attorney’s office in Springfield has been busy the past few years investigating a variety of fraud schemes involving state grants. Thirteen people have been charged so far, six who have pleaded guilty.

Two of them have ties to President Barack Obama. One is the daughter of his controversial former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Another was chief of staff to Obama’s longtime friend Eric E. Whitaker when Whitaker was Illinois’ public health chief.

In all, prosecutors are alleging a total of $16 million in fraud involving state health or commerce department grants and contracts.

And according to Elliott Bobert, all registered Democrats and all working for charities and/or left-leaning non-profits. Because most Democrats don’t really care about helping others, until they themselves have been helped.

Which means the racists running this investigation will soon be reassigned.

The “Baffle them with Bullshit” method of foreign policy?

The genius of you Americans is that you never make clear-cut stupid moves, only complicated stupid moves which make us wonder at the possibility that there may be something to them which we are missing.

Gamal Abdel Nasser – Former Prime Minister of Egypt, 1967 – 1970

I wonder

Do they not teach science in Uruguay?

The half-finished 37-storey tower at 20 Fenchurch Street in central London, dubbed the Walkie Talkie due to its distinctive shape, is now being called the “Walkie Scorchie” because of its apparent ability to bounce heat from the sun onto buildings in the next street.

The building’s developers said they last night erected the temporary black sun screen – which measures 10ft high by 13ft long – on the pavement outside affected shops.

They have also closed off three parking bays to prevent further damage to cars.

The architect – Uruguayan-born Rafael Vinoly – also designed the Vdara Hotel in Las Vegas, which suffered similar problems.

The concave design of the building “death ray” of sunlight allegedly left guests with severe burns in September 2010.

He designs one building with a concave design and puts it in the desert and it burns people in the same manner as a cruel child with a magnifying glass burns ants.

So he builds another one and figures it will be OK because it’ll be built further north of the Tropic of Cancer?

The Things You Find

Searching for an iTunes version of an old “German Fasching and Beer Hall Songs” album, I made the mistake of searching “German Fasching” and found, er, modern German drinking songs. Like this one.

Sorry, but I just couldn’t not post that.
