Obama Pushes to Save the Holidays for a Million Unemployed People
The Obama administration on Friday came out strongly in support of extending long-term unemployment insurance past its current expiration date.
And that is all anyone really needs to know about the Obama Presidency.

I would be inclined to believe you are correct, and that this whole debacle is purely incompetence, and had no reason or logic behind it, but that isn’t what concerns me. Have you seen what liberals can do with incompetence? Incompetence is their milieu; the left can build shining towers out of incompetence while the sane and competent are barely keeping a roof over their heads. However this breaks, it will break bad for us.
One of the stats that no one seems to be reporting with any reasonable semblance of its impact is the sheer number of people who are freshly signed on to Medicaid because of Obamacare.
Meanwhile, the 100,000 number is getting a lot of attention, but the report also finds nearly 400,000 were determined eligible for Medicaid. “In total that’s over 500,000 people who signed up for insurance in the midst of a tumultuous launch,†Levitt says. “People make a distinction between the marketplace and Medicaid, but those are both elements of the Affordable Care Act — both are mechanisms to get people insured.â€
Four times as many people have signed up for Medicaid as have signed up for “private” insurance under the guidance of the ACA. Let that figure sink in for a bit.
Then remember back to the wailing and gnashing of teeth that took place on the left during the writing and passing of a tax so big they couldn’t read it. They wanted something they called “Medicare for All” form of single payer. In fact, John Conyers is STILL pushing his version of this idea as a replacement for the ACA.
Lastly, I’d like for you all to remember that those 400,000 people signed up for the program in only the first seven weeks of Obamacare. How many more will be added on before the end of the year?
Looks to me like the left got their wish. And all this will cost us billions, since it is highly unlikely that these folks would be removed from Medicaid even if the ACA were repealed. It would be “bad optics” for politicians to been seen as pushing Medicaid eligible folks back into the free market.
