While visiting relatives last week in California’s poverty-stricken Central Valley, my wife learned that one of her sisters, gainfully employed but still poor enough to have gone without health insurance for many years, checked out Covered California and found she still couldn’t afford any of the plans, even with the subsidies. So she figures she’ll just go without and pay the fine for not having insurance.
When even the uninsured are opting out of Obamacare….

Look at the bright side. This whole debacle might just manage to be huge enough to wake up some of the long-time statists, and may manage to shake a few loose from the Dem plantation into the independent or conservative camp. Doesn’t have to be a lot of them to really shake up the electoral map.
