They must have had the glaucoma

I’m sure it’s cured by now though

Deer got the munchies at an industrial hemp crop in southern Oregon.

The deer got by barbed-wire fencing a couple weeks ago and went through the hemp plants like high-powered mowers, the Grants Pass Daily Courier reported.

“Generally, I don’t think they like cannabis. They liked ours, though,” said Cliff Thomason, a real estate agent who is the steward of the first industrial hemp crop in Oregon, which was planted near Murphy by Thomason and his partners with Orhempco.

The company planted roughly 1,000 plants in the section the deer got into, and Thomason said there are only about 40 left.

Industrial hemp has a low level of THC, the psychoactive property of marijuana. Kit Doyle, another partner in Orhemco, said it’s high in protein and that’s likely why the deer went on a binge.

Yeah, I’m sure that’s why.

It wasn’t because of the Dorito’s truck that was driving through town or nuthin’.

When you and your deer friends eat 950 some odd hemp plants, I don’t care how “low level” it is, you’re gonna want some Cool Ranch.

There is little to no THC or CBD in hemp. It does those have a bit of oil in the seeds this time of year which would make it a good meal for the deer.

Hemp leaves have been used to fatten up cattle for years. I’m not surprised that the deer ran through it like a weed whacker.

“This venison tastes kinda funny. And it’s making me hungry for more venison.”

I’m amused anyone thought the deer wouldn’t bother the crop.

Deer eat damn near anything that is plant & doesn’t kill them.
