One wonders if this doctor (warning: autoplay news vid at link) either is The Last Psychiatrist (purportedly Dr. Chris Ballas of U Penn, so the location’s right) or learned from The Last Psychiatrist’s post a couple years back about an unarmed doc versus an armed patient demanding meds.

It could very well be that Doc Silverman will lose his job, possibly his medical license, too. The hospital’s weapons policy is pretty clear. If that happens, we need to be sure they are shamed as much as we can heap on them. “They are no hospital! They’d rather a deranged gunman kill a dozen people than victims protect themselves!”
