That Marilyn Monroe Question

Namely, what size was she?

I’m not going to get into the whole issue of women’s dress sizes, weight fluctuations, etc.

No, a simple visual comparison with a known-size article will do the trick.

Example:

While all of these women are known “big-boob” models, the ubiquitous baseball cap gives you a very tangible approximation of size. One can easily grasp (heh) the size of any pictured element by mentally comparing it to the ball cap I’ve no doubt you have handy.

Now here’s Marilyn:

Note the black baseball cap on Eli Wallach, left of center.

There ya go! Question answered. For my purposes, anyway.

  1. Scott says:

Sara Jean Underwood (red cap) or Norma Jean Mortenson…tough choice.

  2. emdfl says:

IIRC Marilyn was a size 12(back when sizes were meaningful); women looked like women and not little boys with lumpy chests.

  3. Those skanky boob models do nothing for me. Marilyn on the other hand….

  4. NotClauswitz says:

Marlyn was also 5′-5″ but her waist was only 23-24 inches, that’s petite compared to 36-inch hips… Still a lot to like, rather than the skinny bitches with mongo melons.
