Klewang Trimaran

A Klewang is a traditional Indonesian sword.

In Rawles’ new novel Expatriates, he goes to some length to emphasize how Indonesia’s built up a stealth invasion force under the noses of the West (and with our connivance, thanks Obama). This only matters if Indonesia becomes a jihadist state, of course.

One of the elements he notes is an effective littoral combat force with technologically advanced capabilities including fast new antiship missiles, stealth capabilities and great speed, including the Klewang-class ships which have all of this. Click here for a much bigger version of the above pic. Pretty cool, eh?

Interestingly, the first of its kind was delivered to Indonesia last year but was destroyed shortly thereafter due to an “engine room short circuit.”

Wonder which country’s commando or espionage unit engineered that one?

One Response to Klewang Trimaran

I dunno. I’ve never been impressed with engineering talents shown by a run of the mil Islamist. Seems like when we where training their pilots all plane crashes where classed as equipment failure rather than the more correct pilot error.

I think they can pretty much bust up a sledge hammer in a sand box.
