Predictive Fiction

Lazy days are for truly decadent forms of self-entertainment. Why, just now I recalled to mind my the gem of a short-story thriller Frederick Forsyth crafted decades agoseemingly inspired by this truly sad 2013 news report. But even the reporter can’t resist sly, read-between-the-lines speculation towards the end of the article, it seems….

    Well, perhaps “inspired” is a bit too much. But I could see in my mind, fully-formed, the two or three delightful stories a Forsyth could make from that brief article.

    Alas, I am too lazy to write them myself, and must be content for now with the false memory of the pleasure I’d have in reading them.
