Why Janice Rogers Brown belongs on the US Supreme Court.
An aside: My old two-hour Davis-to-San Francisco Amtrak commute (really, to Emeryville with a bus jumper) would end up consistently 30-45 minutes late because we had to wait on a siding for freight traffic. I therefore completely understand why Amtrak pushed to interpret the statute the way it did. Doesn’t excuse it, though.
