Hopefully my last words on the Zimmerman media debacle.
The media is seems stunned into disbelief that George Martin will get his pistol back. It is as though they think the inanimate object should be destroyed for the “eevviill it has caused.” Thankfully, the law recognizes it as property or I’d fear they would have it destroyed in some sort of ceremony.
Zimmerman’s people are going after NBC as of right damn now. Good. I hope he gets enough cash to relocate himself somewhere far away from Florida (like the PacNW), pay his legal team, and buy lots of body armor. Because wherever he goes, he is going to have a target on the back of his head.
Lastly, Those of the Butthurt are attempting to compare the Zimmerman case with another supposed self-defense case from Florida: Marissa Alexander.
This is a false comparison, and if you hit the above link you’ll read why:Â Ms. Alexander was in danger, being in the same room as her abusive husband, whom she had a restraining order against. She smartly retreated from the house, but instead of getting into her car and calling the police or just leaving the residence, she retrieved her pistol and then went back into the house. Once inside she fired a few “warning shots” to get her husband to move out of her way so that she could collect her property from the house.
While I don’t think she should have gone to jail for 20 years, she did want to be a “bad bitch” (aka: a female thug). Thugs either go to jail or the morgue.
It ain’t over. NBC will settle now and THAT part will be over, but Z-man should take THOSE bucks and sue for malicious prosecution. He has the best case of that tort I ever heard of.
In that lawsuit, his lawyer deposes all the way up the USDOJ chain to at least Holder, maybe Obama. It was obvious that in the normal course, FL authorities were not going to prosecute, but then it went all racial and political and Z-man was railroaded. In addition to the tort, Federal laws were likely broken there.
By quickly filing suit, Z-man preserves evidence and probably changes out the FL AG, her staff and maybe the crooked Judge, who was so far in the bag with Holder & the race pimps it showed badly BEFORE the AG’s IT whistleblower surfaced.
At this point, my guess is that Holder sends a bag-man to O’Mara and offers a deal: no “civil rights” prosecution of Z-man in return for no Malicious Prosecution tort suit. O’Mara turns that down, but counters: FL AG finds money to pay for the Z-man defense and maybe relocation for the Z-family. Holder pressures FL to take that deal. FL takes the deal, it’s Feddle cash anyway. Everyone goes away happy except the race pimps, but this isn’t the first time Obama crapped on political allies and it won’t be the last. There’s plenty of room under both the Obama AND the Hillary buses for Sharpton & Jealous.
