I lived in New York for a year while in the Navy learning to make steam (It turns out that steam and hot air are both products I am good at producing.)Â I was stationed a couple hours north of Albany.
Many of the people I dealt with “off base” were independent-minded sorts, but they were quick to help those who needed it; I helped load the trucks of supplies sent up to the far north of the state after a blizzard in early January, 1998. The town I lived in filled trailer after trailer with blankets, food, generators, etc.
The folks in the video at the link are a lot like the people I lived with. I hope their politicians listen to what they’re saying, or things in the Empire State will get worse.
