It’s the old 700 PSS, and yes it has the bull barrel. I bought it back in 2005, it had been consigned by the original buyer unused, still in its box. It has been waiting for a long time to be complete. I am considering replacing the factory stock, but I’ll wait on that to see how I perform with it as-is.
Put a sticker of a screw-driver on the stock. When people ask about it, tell them it’s a hammer built to Government specs, and is thus a “faux-hammer” for driving nails at long range.
Nice, Rolf. Someday, defined as “when I have money for frivolous things,” I want to have the name engraved on the receiver in Elvish runes.
You can always carve it yourself, though it you are not careful you might wind up with Elvish ruins.
