   That’s the gun store’s mag. I, like hundreds of thousands of Californians, was apparently thoughtful enough to stock up on large cap mags prior to Cali’s ban. Transfer, purchase and sale are prohibited, but not possession of items owned in Cali prior to the law taking effect. Happily, one can import disassembled parts kits to repair one’s lawfully-owned mags. One must never, never assemble a parts kit into a new magazine, however. To quote President Nixon, “That would be wrong.”
