I knew chop shops, as with cars, charged more for rifle parts than the same parts assembled into a complete rifle, but this is ridiculous.

Yeah, that seems a bit steep. Like about ten times what an entire, brand-new, moderately high-end, rifle should cost. I’m thinking it was a typo. Or a hope at a payday jackpot. Or else ARs are in even shorter supply that reported. But business HAS been brisk, recently. http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2013/01/americans-buy-enough-guns-in-last-two-months-to-outfit-the-entire-chinese-and-indian-army/
I paid less than $2500 for my AR. Of course it still hasn’t arrived, but should “soon.” (fingers crossed). For that price, the gun had better train you to be a better shooter, piano player, and tapdancer, as well as giving you good lines to pick up the ladies.
