   Why would God be afraid of someone making progress? I find that to be a silly assertion.

   Have to disagree. God is happy for more progress, just like any father takes pride in his childs advancement.

   Its the other side that doesn’t like advancement, because it puts us closer to God!

   If good equals progress, why would God be against good? If good equals progress, then it makes sense that Satan would be against it!

    I think the quote goes, “Those whom the gods want to destroy, they first drive mad.” Not “make them work harder”. Though life through the socio-political lense seems pretty bizarre right now, so maybe…..
