Its Monday morning. Boomershoot is finished and I’m heading out of Orofino on my way to Raton, NM for the Sporting Rifle Match next Sunday. I had a Nightforce scope with me that was temporarily without a mate. I had spoken with a Nighforce rep at the Boomershoot dinner on Saturday evening about the ZeroStop & Fast Turn Turrets upgrade and if I could hand my scope over to them while I was in Orofino and have them work their magic and send it to me back home in Michigan. The rep agreed and said to contact them on Monday and they could get my info etc., etc.
So I’m rolling out of town on Highway 12 and pull over to the side, dial them up and asked if I could drop it off. The rep took my information, created an account over the phone and let me drop by and turn the scope over to them for the upgrade. To say that the representative who I dealt with was gracious and friendly would be an understatement. Remember, this is a supplier to LE and military and they don’t encourage visitors or conduct tours. I felt very satisfied that this company and their people were willing to work with me the way they did. Good customer service feels good. Another gold sticker for Clearwater River country.
After shooting next to the Nightforce guys on Sunday, and the watching the way they conducted themselves while networking and doing business on the side, I was impressed. They all seemed to have a great time with the event, they made a boatload of contacts, welcomed everyone who stopped to talk with them, and generated a ton of goodwill with everyone that was there. They definitely took a step up in establishing a positive reputation with folks attending the event.
