I Weep For This Generation

So the wife’s colleague mentioned that her daughter and boyfriend are both staying with her while they try to find jobs following graduation from college at U BC in Canada. They’re hippies, of course, like our daughter and her fiancee — which means they don’t bathe or flush, to conserve water (despite British Columbia being a FREAKIN RAINFOREST), etc….. Anyway, they decided the other day to visit the Occupy San Francisco protest.

In his dad’s open-top BMW.

Which he’s driving until his trust-fund kicks in and he can buy his own.

You see where this is going.

My wife’s colleague politely suggested they should park in a garage somewhere away from the protests, or the car would likely be stolen.

“Well maybe that just means somebody needed it more than I did,” he replied.

If it ain’t stolen, I’ll bet a nickel it ends up with some nice fecal redecoration to the exposed interior.

Meantime the wife and I are wondering about logistics for our daughter’s preferred wedding spot — a hippie ranch above Santa Barbara that’s supposed to host 200 friends — most of them also literally unwashed — and family, in the middle of summer, with no toilet facilities aside from some composting piles next to the yurts and straw bale huts.

Sigh.

Spritzing Bacon Scent about the house ought to clear up that infestation right quick. You have to be fast or they form drum circles. Nothing less that a full fledged SPAM cannon will break that circle (or artistic differences).

  2. @Petey – You have to break up the drum circle so they won’t form a hippie music festival. Mace actually works much better on clearing out hippies. Should a music festival be started some how, inject Slayer into the music system. See this episode of South Park for more information on dealing with hippie infestations.

    Dave –
I’m sorry. A good chunk of my generation (at least the people I’m around) see what you and I see. I think the percentage might be higher than it was back in the 60s&70s but the big problem is the media. They are throwing ton’s of press at these stupid hippies while anyone in the TEA party is ignored. If they show the TEA party they make sure to focus on the old people, not the younger generation.

Most kids when they get the real world either figure out how it really works, or end up so lost in their delusion that Darwin honestly has every right to end their existence.

P.S. Stupid spam filter, the bastard still hasn’t learned I’m not evil. At least this time I had my WP credentials handy to fix it.

Reminds me of the SDS idiots I used to bump heads with back in 1969 when I was in college. You’d get some assholes who were being completely supported by their rich parents, and they would spend their spare time protesting against “Big Business” and “The Man”. I really dislike limousine liberals.

Scratch civilization and you find tribalism. I’m just sayin’

Why are all the real lefties spoiled rich kids? So hateable.
