Herman Cain = Fred Thompson

=

By which I mean to say, Mitt Romney = John McCain.

Get it?

I’m not alone in this, of course.

As one of the suckers who paid good money into Fred Thompson’s campaign while he was spending fundraisers watching basketball games, let’s just say my perceptions were honed by that experience. I see ’em everywhere! For example, I still think Newt’s intended as a RINO stalking horse for Perry, not that it’s working.

The difference – seems like Cain actually wants to win. Thompson showed up, waited to be anointed, then left without making any real effort.

The person with the axe to grind may well be the person who wants to chop down the tree.

The DU, of course, is the epitome of a “stalking horse”, in this case, for Obama. That they are after Cain confirms for me that he is the one they fear most.

Consider: it was White Guilt that elected Obama, not any particular charm of his, nor his wealth of fitness for the job. Cain vs. Obama means White Guilt is a zero sum game now, and frankly, Obama couldn’t have won before without it, and certainly won’t win now, after booting all his chances with his first four years, without White Guilt again.

With Cain vs. Obama, you could compare credentials immediately, and the (D)onks can’t even use the (but he’s never been elected” whine, because Obama hadn’t been Senator long enough to actually write and promote a Senate Bill.

No, Cain worries them, because it keeps the Race Card out of play.

The thought of an Obama / Cain debate must terrify Democrats. A lamb would have a better chance against a hungry jaguar.

RivrDog, I don’t think it will take the race-card off the table. I think it will just expose the ongoing hypocrisy of its use for all but the most dense to see, which will (hopefully) mostly disable it for use in the future. I’d like to see a Cain -Obama race just to watch the MSM talking heads and Dem race-baiters (but I repeat myself) suffer a sever mental implosion in dealing with it.
