I’ll be in Detroit all week for training (Livonia, actually). Any suggestions (besides “Leave”, or “Don’t get shot!”)?

Greektown downtown detroit one block south of Police Hq. real greek food.
Yeah, Mad Rocket, be nice to that panhandler who asks for spare change: he probably built your last car…
Nope, I drive Subaru’s built in Indiana by guys who still have jobs that pay well.
Not to worry, Livonia is quite safe all things considered, and as the residents there are at pains to tell you, it is not Detroit.
As to what to do, depends on what you’re looking for:
For restaurants in Livonia try Mitchell’s Fish Market for an upscale and excellent meal or for some of the best Pizza in the Detroit area try Buddy’s Pizza.
If you get some time off, heading over to Southfield for the Henry Ford Museum is worth the trip, as is the Rouge Plant tour. Novi has the Motorsports Museum which is also good.
There’s a movie theater at 6 mile and 275.
For a gun store to browse in, Shooters Service at 6 and Middlebelt has a nice inventory.
Email me if you would like other possible options.
Not gonna have a ton of time off, but I might make the effort to get over to Buddy’s Pizza. Thank Aaron!
