Error in Guerena Search Warrant Affidavit?

This is probably trivial, but I thought it worth mentioning:

In the affidavit in support of the search warrant for residences including Jose Guerena’s home, the affidavit text lists the residence as being at ___ S. Redwater in Tucson, yet the appendix describing the properties lists only ___ W. Redwater.

I’m guessing this is just a typo, but again, thought it was interesting. The affidavit itself is very much worth reading all the way through.

One Response to Error in Guerena Search Warrant Affidavit?

  1. Bram says:

Wow. This is real Keystone Kops stuff. Seems like Jose got thrown in here just because his brother was a suspect. His income was confirmed and he had some arrests but no felony convictions. This is enough for a search – by SWAT?

Nothing here made these guys sounds particularly armed and dangerous. I skimmed it fast and didn’t see any special permission requested for the search to be conducted by SWAT rather than uniformed police.

A rather vague document to use as a Veteran’s death warrant.
