Speaking as an attorney, I have to say he’s quite right. It’s sad, really, but true.
I told the couple who host us at Boomershoot some of the details about the crap I deal with every day, most of it either fighting other attorneys or setting up barriers to protect my bosses’ businesses from those sorts of attacks, and they were, I think, a bit shocked at how I went about some of it.
Sometimes it feels like working on a privateer, fighting off pirates. Sure we privateers use the same tactics the pirates do, but we’re really the good guys, see? Sigh.

Shakespearre had the right idea about how to handle lawyers. I have dealt with lawyers in ciminal and civil matters for my 31 plus year career. There are honest ethical ones and dishonest unethical ones on either side but, based on my experience, I believe that the great majority are either very dishonest and or very unethical.
A college professor, who was both a lawyer and a psychologist (what a combo) told her class, in which I was a student and while I was questioning her ethics, that she would do absolutely whatever it took to get one of her clients found not guilty because that is her job. When I asked, did that job include trying to exonerate her client even if he confessed to her that he had committed something murder and that he was lying in court about it, she said YES she would do absolutely anything to have him acquitted. How she missed the whole point of justice with a mindset like her’s. She may have been in it based upon principle but most lawyers seem to be in it for the principal without regard to principle, either way most seem to be to have missed the whole point of justice.
