I have installed a Wondersight adjustable long-range sight and my preferred Pearlite grips and a lanyard. Otherwise the revolver is the same as I found it in the consignment shop not a mile from my Mom’s house.

Revolver at Boomershoot? There must be a show and tell day now, because that revolver won’t set off boomers. I’ve been told by Ry and others that the minimum terminal velocity of the bullet when it hits the boomer can be no less than 1500 fps. That revolver appears to fire 45 ACP. I’m betting that the hottest version of that cartridge won’t give you more than 1,000 fps at the muzzle, so hitting the boomer with it will result in only a nice spatter of white granules to prove you were that good a shot. No booms from revolvers.
You could take it to wear as your sidearm, but the one place I’ve felt secure enough to NOT be armed in recent years was boomershoot.
Yes, for display and handling and shooting if people wish, but it wont set off boomers, that is for certain.
I’m still rather envious of that find. But I’m glad you’re taking it for show-and-tell-and-shoot (no, I won’t be there…stupid work.)
Having followed the CGN thread from the start, I’m still amazed at the serendipity of the find and the great story behind that pistol. 🙂
