Anybody else notice that Google Maps’ Satellite view now includes the ocean floors?
I’ve kept a bunch of old National Geographic maps of the various ocean floor topography because it’s so fascinating. Check out the amazing cliffs just off the Los Angeles coast, for example — click the link and zoom out a couple notches!
Yeah I noticed the other night that northern Puget Sound and Straights of Juan de Fuca now have ocean floor detail but there’s basically nothing south of the San Juan Islands up here.
Been that way for a while now (ocean floor detail). If soundings exists, they’ve got them plotted
