First banning ammunition by an end-run around Congress, now this? The administration’s really going for broke to ram everything through before the election, aren’t they?
Fake! Calm your blood pressure, folks. This is not a Treasury proposal. It’s actually an interesting and rather well-thought-out design for national currency. I like having each denomination be slightly longer than the one before. It will help the young ones to be able to make change in the jobs of the future, you see.
The subjects on the bills, however, (aside from the 1st 10 amendments on the $10, that’s cool) are a leftist’s wet dream and need to go. Click to embiggen — like I said, it’s a pretty cool design in the abstract. Just not well executed from a content standpoint, y’know?
Actually, since I’m 1/8 Cherokee, the $5 design would meet with my approval, but it seems so arbitrary — “we had to fit the Indians in somewhere, let’s throw the top 5 tribes on the $5.” Sticks in my craw.
The Bill of Rights could definitely be written better, too. Sounds like you have the right to “Excessive Bail.” WTF? How about “No Excessive Bail,” sparky? Oh, that’s right, you’re a British design shop. Forget it.
Found at Ace of Spades in the “Top Headlines” column.
UPDATE: This design is much better. The gold one, not the Amero.
fucking monopoly money. no thanks.
why does the 1 have BHO symbol not the presidential symbol?
Is it too difficult to use the actual text of the amendments?
Of course, they might not want people to see what the Tenth actually says…
And we can do without the silly little trivia bits…it’s the national currency, not a scratch off game from McDonald’s.
I think the increasing sizes are because some judge decided that the current bills, being all the same size and thus indistinguishable to blind people, violate the ADA.
I finally (sadly) get to quote this line from the Simpsons.
“Look at all the pinks and blues. :shakes head: Our money is so gay.”
Greenbacks forever!
David, we gunnies need some help here, and I believe you’re the one to help us, having done some early work in your legal career with Federal regulation.
I’ve heard it said that the very law that the EPA is using to promote this idiotic end-run around the Second Amendment has a provision in it that specifically prohibits bans on ammunition.
Is it possible for you to dig this out of the law, and post it?
I would like to advise MY readers to quote this exception in their letters to Federal authorities, both elected and despotic.
Thanks.
There is some discussion of that here, Rivrdog:

And, bonus: http://mainehuntingtoday.com/bbb/2010/08/27/epa-denies-petition-by-center-for-biological-diversity-to-ban-lead-ammunition/
Shouldn’t Pres. Odumbo be on the $3 bill?
