Amidst the sounds, of silence

Last week we were all informed that one of the Tea Party type groups, FreedomWorks, headed up by former Congressman, Dick Armey, had seen a dramatic increase in death threat calls, emails and letters.

Not that they just started getting them, but that there was a dramatic increase in them.

The day after I read that story, I read a post on the story at the hyper-leftist blog, Crooks and Liars. Now, if a middle aged Caucasian male who has ever even just glanced at the cover of an American Rifleman magazine as it sat on the newsstand farts in the general direction of a person who was thinking thoughts positive in nature towards the Democratic agenda, they throw up their version of the Drudge siren and declare all “Reichwingers” to be hyper-violent psychopaths who are one syllable out of Glenn Beck’s mouth away from committing genocide with fondue forks.

This story of actual, recorded with the FBI and stored in evidence rooms, death threats against folks on the right? Let’s just say they want to believe in a conspiracy made up in their own minds first.

Lovely group of folks, don’t you think?

In the meantime, shots were also fired at the Maryland Republican Party HQ last week.

It’s not unlike how union violence occurs all the time, but even with the times square bomber the left jumped to the conclusion that Glenn Beck talked a Tim Mcveigh wannabe over the cliff, when their own side’s violence is pervasive.

I followed the link and read the blog and some of the comments. Now I feel dirty and need to take a shower.
