Last Tuesday, in the podunk of Orting, WA, there was a home invasion robbery. Mike Howard was the homeowner and he later died from his injuries.
Yesterday morning saw another home invasion robbery attempt. Steve Sarich’s Kirkland home was the scene of the crime this time.
What do these two robberies have in common beside the already stated facts?
They were both licensed medical marijuana growing locations.
Luckily for Mr. Sarich, he took a lesson from Mr. Howard’s outcome and armed himself.
You can read his story here. 1/2 of the home invasion crew is still in critical condition at the county hospital and the outlook is not good. Though I think it would be nice for him to speak his runaway accomplice’s name before he assumes room temperature.

They should make pot operations “gun free zones” which would solve the problem as they both would have had to do this without handguns. Maybe they could have arm wrestled over the pot and this tragedy could have been avoided.
