Mandated Health Insurance

This a simple problem to solve.  Don’t mandate health insurance, but require that if you do not have coverage, you had better have a DNR/Living Will on file, and hospitals are not required to do anything but the bare minimum to keep you alive until they have a name & proof of insurance, or the DNR on hand.

Won’t work. Too much personal responsibility required. We need Uncle Sam to take care of 100% of everything so the populace doesn’t miss any Survivor.

Listen, I like your blog and I appreciate you trying to find solutions. But under what authority are you going require me to have anything? Be it a will or insurance?

  3. OK Chris, we’ll just change the law so that if you do not have proof of insurance, we can assume a DNR is in effect.
