The Soundboard: Almost Christmas week Edition

This morning I spent an amount equal to my truck payment on books for my new part-time career as a college student. And remember, I’m only taking two classes this first quarter.

Tell me education isn’t a racket. I dare you.

So since I’ll be having a mildly unorthodox Christmas holiday (with only the very near and dear to me getting gifts and the rest will be getting bupkis, because of school costs) we’re going to have some mildly unorthodox Christmas music today.

Sadly, it appears that during the recent System Recovery debacle my link to the server went bye-bye. So it looks like we’re stuck with vids until I can get back into it.

Enjoy one of my all time favotire non-Christmas Christmas songs that actually sounds like how my week is going.

From his album, Pro Agonist

I feel your book pain. I was ready to burn down the student bookstore in protest when the girl behind the counter told me to check out Chegg.com you can rent your textbooks for pennies on the dollar. It’s perfect for those classes that you could care less about but need to take to get a “well rounded education”.

As big a one as the diamond racket. WHile back I checked on the current costs at OU. There’s tuition, then there’s the fees- per credit hour on EACH class- and then the fees just to go to OU, etc. ad bullshit. And THEN books & etc.
