SOCOM II Christmas

IMG00644.jpgClick to embiggen. These things are rarer than hen’s teeth — this is the first one my FFL’s seen since summertime when my brother and I pleaded with them to find us a new-in-box SOCOM II. (My Rache was obtained used.) Note that although this one’s

not as sexy a beast as my Rache (hoisted by Uncle at GBR IV), this black-stock version has the super-duper full-length rail, going all the way to the back of the receiver.
Hey, even Traction Control doesn’t have ’em in stock.

In ten days she’s mine. We’ll see if my brother can pry her out of my, er, cold live hands.* (Hey, fifty degrees outside is COLD in Kali!)

* Yes, intrafamily transfer without an FFL is lawful in Kali, if you do it right. Of course part of that is waiting a decent interval to avoid the appearance of a straw purchase….

I’ll keep it short: fine action, ugly rifle. JC Garand must be spinning in his grave at the rpm of a downrange bullet by now.

I propose that the Tommy Tactical crowd change the designation of their rifles from EBRs (Evil Black Rifles) to UARs (Ugly Assed Rifles).

A proper rifle needs WOOD to look good. My M-14 looks good in it’s GI stock.

Full length rail! I am jealous…

Linoge has one of those! And it’s 47-degrees outside.
Brrr! I hate the cold, take me back to Kona!

Your RSS feed might be wanged. There are a bunch of online gambling links in the middle of this post on your feed.

Thanks. That’s beyond my abilities to repair, but Phil’s fixed it a bunch in the past so I’m sure it will go away shortly. I’m sure the evil ones are taking advantage of his temporary lack of a desktop machine to infiltrate.
