Out of this world

Spend some time off-planet today. Or, at least looking there.

This link goes to the latest Hubble images. It’s not in the Constitution, but you’ll not see me complain about how much it costs. Call it my one luxury item.

Even better, though, is this link to 35 HiRes pics from the Mars Recon Orbiter while it cruises at 187 miles above the surface.

Since there is little to no money in Astronomy without large amounts of brown-nosing university types, I’m of the opinion that my best way to put my name on Mars might be through being on the team which updates the maps of it. After all, it is the cartographers who get to write the names.
