I know someone that got sex offender status for taking a pee in public. It was late in the evening and he stopped at a park because he had to go muy pronto, but the facilities were closed for the day. He discretely whipped it out over in the trees (the park was empty) and drained his tank. A cop happened to drive by and see what he was doing. The cop couldn’t even see anything, but since he urinated in public, it got written up as exposing himself.
It took a lawyer, several months, and a lot of money and court time to get it reduced on appeal to an offense that got him taken off The List.
