RNS Quotes of the Day: 10/27/09

Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi (D-Land of Hateful Nags) was asked about the Constitutionality of forcing you and I to buy government approved health insurance as responsibility of citizenship. She answered

Are you serious? Are you serious?

Later, when the reporter asked Madam Speaker’s Press Spokesperson, Nadeam Elshami, for clarification as to the Speaker’s stand that there were no Constitutional issues surrounding forcing Americans to buy government approved health insurance as a responsibility of citizenship, Elshami said

That is not a serious question. That is not a serious question.

All of these answers prompted Noel at Cold Fury to ask

Why does everybody in Pelosi’s office repeat themselves?

Twice, of course.

The answer is very simple.

You see, Nancy Pelosi is a parrot. Parrots can only repeat things. They cannot hold a true conversation unless they’ve been taught the responses. When you hang around too many parrots for too long, they start effecting the way you speak as well.

Also, you begin to think they’re intelligent.

  1. Rivrdog says:

It’s worse than you think, sir.

When you talk to parrots, and they give the conditioned responses, not only do you falsely congratulate yourself for having had an intelligent conversation with another species, you begin to believe that there IS intelligence in lower species.

Then sir, you are doomed as a sentient HUMAN.
