Missing, Presumed Fed

You could say I’ve gone out for an extended lunch. Hopefully not breaking any records

The current record for longest extended lunch break is held by Ursa Minor publishing executive Lig Lury, Jr., last seen heading towards the Lalamatine District of Light City in Ursa Minor Beta “for a quick sandwich and pint”.

Mr Lury is the fourth editor of the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, who never actually resigned from his job. He simply left one morning for lunch and never returned to his office, making all later holders of the position “Acting Editors.” His old office is still preserved by the Guide employees in the hope that he will return. His desk sports a sign that reads “Missing, presumed fed.”

I got told that I had to “Use it or lose it” with my PTO (Paid Time Off) at my place of employ.

So here I am. I had planned on taking this week off to spend with The Wife during our Anniversary celebrations anyway, but now I’ve got next week off as well.

I’ll hope to get a very special project off the ground this week, which may lead to a very neato announcement in ten days or so.

In the mean time, things should continue apace here at RNS. Consider this post just a blip. Carry on.
