THIS IS NOT A TOWN HALL MEETING. This is the regular meeting of the 34th Legislative District Democrats, and will be conducted according to our by-laws and protocols.
Non-members are welcome but only members may speak and participate
The topic: An Update on Health Care Reform and How YOU Can Fight for Real Reform NOW!!! Featuring our own: Congressman Jim McDermott,M.D., 7th Congressional District, with: Lisa Plymate, M.D., 34th LD King County Committeewoman and Washington State Director of Doctors for America; Board member, PNHP, Craig Salins, Executive Director, Washington Public Campaigns, Dustin Lambro, Washington State Direct of Organizing for America.
So the topic is health care. Specifically the bills going through the House.
Hoever, don’t bother showing up if you’re not supportive of the bills is the House and don’t think he’s going to have another meeting on the topic.

Show up anyway. But first, download and print the congressman’s portrait and staple it to a man-sized stuffed effigy. Stand the effigy up behind a podium with his name on it. Invite everyone to ask it questions and hurl invective at it. Capture the whole thing on video. During the next election, run the video on YouTube as “the congressman who was too pussy to face his constituents.” Then let him deal with his legacy.
