I bought 2000 of the DAG in early March. Headstamped ’93. It is de-linked machinegun ammo with significant verdigris corrosion on the brass (obviously deposited by rusting machinegun links). About 25% showed no evidence of corrosion; almost 50% had a little green/black corrosion, matching the pressure points from the links; the remaining 25%+ had extensive corrosion – covering over a third of the case in a few cases. (Yes I counted it as I segregated it.)
Yet in all, each cartridge I tested, even the worst corroded, dropped into a Wilson case gauge with no binding or hang-up.
Bullets are steel alloy.

J&G Sales of Prescott, AZ has “POF” headstamp 7.62 NATO, 90’s manufacture, in belts of 250 rds for $150.
That’s 60 cents per round and you have to delink it, too, but don’t say there isn’t any milsurp out there…
J&G also has some water-damaged .40 S&W for $75/500, sold for component use only. The components will be the brass cases and the frangible copper bullets, and if you don’t count your investment in a puller, this is a helluva deal.
