The card with the orangutan was a birthday card from my daughter. Inside she wrote:

Dave– this kind of reminds me of you lying around the house.

Out of the mouths of babes, eh? Now I will admit to a penchant for relaxing completely when I do relax, but still…. “O would that power, the giftie gie us….”

    Are those PEARL grips on that M1917? To quote Gen. Patton, “only a pimp in a New Orleans whorehouse carries a pearl-handled pistol”.

    Sorry, I KNOW those horse pistols will outrange my .243.

    Heh. I’m well aware of Patton’s quote. They’re “Pearlite” — plastic swirly grips made to look like pearl. And yes, I wear my pimp label with pride where these guns are concerned. I like Pearlite on my wheelguns.
