Our soldiers are easy targets

For academia.

Penn State University has put together an “Instructional Video” on how to recognize and deal with “veterans”.

To my knowledge, Penn didn’t make a video on how to deal with violent eco-terrorists, anti-war protesters, or as mentioned at the SayAnything blog, violent student athletes.

Just how much violence from veterans does Penn have? Can they show that there is a problem with this on campus? Can they prove that there is even a minuscule amount of need for this?

The leftist academics (sorry for repeating myself there) spent the entirety of the Bush-era talking about how much they “cared about the veterans” and how these “kids who only signed up for the college money” were being taken advantage of by sending them off to do what they were trained to do, be it shoot, fix helicopters or build waste water treatment plants.

Now that their guy is in charge we get to see exactly what they think of our returning soldiers by making videos treating them as illiterate barbarians.

I think I’ve mentioned before that my first job out of college was in the CMO’s office at a Department of Veterans’ Affairs clinic. I was appalled by the attitude of many of the nurses towards their patients, who they categorized as “trained killers.” Granted, this clinic was in the San Francisco Bay Area, but still… I figured that explained a lot of the complaints about substandard care our office had to deal with.

Oftentimes veterans are viewed as rabid dogs barely restrained by the chains of decency.

They despise us because they fear us. The same way they fear gun owners. Sooner or later they will try to categorize owning a gun as “anti-social behavior”.

I’m pretty sure there are quite a few who already do, Jim.

Great – two members of privileged minorities complaining to each other about the guy who is the only reason they CAN spout their crap. Somebody REALLY needs to do a youtube snark on this.

The last place I worked offered counseling and mental health benefits as part of the health coverage. In the plan literature they also “encouraged Vietnam Veterans to self identify” themselves to the company.

Not Korean War vets, or Persian Gulf I or II. I was afraid to ask what they thought was wrong with us.

As much as teachers like to tell you to think for yourself and question authority, they NEVER like it when you question their authority or what they teach, even if you are right.

Also please notice this training video is stereotyping the military, making it entirely white and male when in fact the US.mil has been racially integrated for decades, and that women are found in all branches of the military. Nope, liberals still think the .mil is poor, dumb, and male.
