Range Report Ahead

So over the weekend my wife and I and our dogs traveled to Tulare for a baby shower for my niece that turned out to be a baby delivery. The new mom and the new tyke are doing fine, but while my wife was looking into all that we menfolk headed to the range. Pics and writeups to come. I learned a lot of interesting things, and forthcoming posts will include:

— Six Out of Seven of the Brand Spanking New $35 Wilson Combat 1911 Magazines Don’t Frakkin’ Work on Either of my 1911s (and why!)

— First Shots with the Rock Island and Para LDA .45s (they’re both wicked accurate and fun fun fun)

— Failures to Feed with the Beretta 92 Type M and How We Fixed It

— Horrible, Embarrassing Mistake When Swapping a 1911’s Slide with a Kimber .22 Slide

— The Stick-Out-Your-Pinky Method to Better, Tighter Groups

In the meantime, here’s a picture of one of our dogs, Alaska, on the bed in the hotel room. Click for a better view of the big baby. Did I mention we spoil our puppies? Oh yes.

I’m standing by for your WC magazine observation. I’m wondering if my early magazines are any different from the new ones I bought several weeks ago.

Your experience with the Kimber .22 slide should be interesting =)
