Obama made his “Big Economic Speech” on Thursday, during which he said

To finally spark the creation of a clean energy economy, we will double the production of alternative energy in the next three years.

To which Hal_10000 of Right Thinking from the Left Coast responded, crafting our QotD

Barack Obama, with his civil engineering degree from Georgia Tech and his degree in thermodynamics from MIT, can guarantee what physics and engineering will produce in the near future.

To which I’d like to add that Obama further promised to “modernize” more than 75% of existing government buildings. Can the left not see the pork that will be involved here?

He also included improving the energy efficiency of two million homes in his figures. Let us all hope that these lucky homeowners don’t demand stainless appliances when they’re choosing their new ones.

Building solar panels, wind turbines and fuel-efficient cars “putting Americans to work” are among his other plans. Because Suzy-babymaker and Billy-StonerBro, neither of which could graduate high school, are going to be so easily trained to do all of these high-tech jobs.

I don’t think I can fortell just how big a train wreck this’ll be yet. But it is going to be ugly.

But fun to watch, don’t you agree? The local radio station is asking about how people feel about Pres Bush’s departure. Lots of people happy to see him leave.
Personally, I giggle at the thought that PROBABLY some time in the next year or so there will be an NBC incident in some large blue city. Watching these incoming left scum try to spin that as Bush’s fault will almost be worth the price of admission.
