Its not called Londonstan for nothing. Cops are not allowed to use force to stop a riot, unless it Christians. Beside they are afraid of their new overloads in turbins…
At about 1:42, a police man says “come this way” and at 1:48 someone in the peanut gallery says “just follow the police”. This leads me to believe that the police are making sure they stay on a specified route instead of being in some sort of rolling retreat.
