This is my favorite Boomershoot photo. See below for why:
In a pic from Dave the RNS Staff Photographer (not me), here we are lighting ’em up at close range. I’m the 19th from the right, just to the left of the middle tall tree, and to the right of the guy standing next to the folding chair. I am shooting my Uncle-In-Law Bud’s scoped, braked T/C Contender in 7-30 Waters. I think the camera might have caught the muzzle flash from the brake slightly silhouetting me.
I hit my boomer. 🙂
By the way, this is one of the most richly detailed photos I’ve seen of the Boomershoot treeline and hill. I don’t know what kind of camera Dave was using, but I want one!!!!
Zoom in to see the individual steel plates amid the wreckage of exploded boomers cascading down the “valley” at upper left. The little girl running in at far left reminds me of the kind of picturesque touch you’d admire in an Old Masters landscape.
