How does she shoot? What is her name?
Oooooooops OK I read on down don’t answer How does she shoot. Next time I will read on down before I ask.
Hate to embarassssss myself please excuse.
No prob, Pappy! One point I always forget to mention is that the recoil is FAR less than you might think. Yes, it jumps, but with your entire arm as a shock absorber it really isn’t bothersome unless (as I did) you put a hundred rounds or so through her in the course of a few hours. Then your wrist starts feeling it.
I’ve actually been thinking about an encore in .300win mag with a 28″ barrel and a muzzle brake, to act as my backup gun for 1000 yard shooting.
I want an encore anyway, and a whole brace of barrels to use for various purposes; might as well include a super-accurate long range type barrel in there too.
Eeeexcellent!
Really, just give Mike a call over at OTT. If you have a factory load or handload set up, you can send it to him and he’ll cut your chamber with his EDM to an exact fit for your cartridge. Nose around the Specialty Pistols website and you’ll find lots of examples of his work. The accuracy, from a break-barrel system, is just astounding.
