Been a while since THIS “wise owl” could cover behind a curbstone, although in 1996, February, when my Sheriff’s Office punted annual quals to the Portland Police Bureay, they actually had us shooting from behind curbstones. In a monsoon (the Great Flood of 96 was in just getting started). I did OK, and the rangemaster, observing my position, said only 4 or 5 inches of me was exposed, and the vital organs would have been covered (most of head, too, if I wasn’t peeking up to shoot).
The operative rule here is that ANY cover is better than NO cover.
